The Workers’ Party of Korea was founded on October 10 Juche 34(1945).

The WPK is the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist party.

President Kim Il Sung is the founder and the eternal leader of the WPK.

Chairman Kim Jong Il is the symbol and the eternal leader of the WPK.

Marshal Kim Jong Un is the great leader of the WPK and the Korean people who is developing the WPK into the party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and leading the Juche revolution to final victory.

The WPK is a core detachment and a vanguard force of workers and other working masses that hold Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the highest esteem forever and are closely united behind Kim Jong Un organizationally and ideologically.

The WPK is a Juche-type revolutionary party guided solely by the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

The WPK regards the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the starting-point in its building and activities, the basis in its organizational and ideological consolidation and the guideline in leading the revolution and construction.

The WPK is a revolutionary party of the working class and a grassroots party of the working people that strikes its roots deep among the working people including workers, peasants and intellectuals and that consists of vanguard fighters devotedly working for the victory of the cause of socialism.

The WPK represents the interests of the Korean nation and its people.

The WPK is the highest form of political organizations of the working people and a leading political organization of society that guides all fields of politics, military affairs, the economy and culture in a unified way. It is the General Staff of the revolution and organizes and guides all the victories of the Korean people.

The WPK strives for the victory of the cause of the great leaders Kim Il Sung andKim Jong Il, the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Its immediate objective is to build a powerful socialist country in the northern half of Korea and carry out the tasks of national liberation and democratic revolution throughout the country. Its ultimate goal is to fully realize the independence of the masses of the people by modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

Its supreme principle is to continuously improve the living standards of the people.

Work with people constitutes the essence of the work of the WPK.

The WPK consistently holds fast to the line and principle of independence, Songun and socialism in its leadership in the revolution and construction and maintains Juche character and preserves national identity.

It has established Songun politics as the main political mode of socialism and guides the revolution and construction under the banner of Songun.

It keeps to the general line of socialist construction to vigorously carry out the three revolutions?ideological, technological and cultural?while strengthening the people’s government.

The WPK actively supports the south Korean people in their struggle to drive the aggressive forces of the US imperialists out of south Korea, end domination and intervention by foreign forces, check the manoeuvres of the Japanese militarists to re-invade Korea and achieve social democracy and protect their rights to existence. It struggles to reunify the country and ensure the unified development of the country and nation on the principles of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity by joining efforts of all the Korean people.

The WPK strives to further strengthen solidarity with anti-imperialist independent force by maintaining independence, peace and friendship as the main ideals in its foreign policy, develop good neighbourly and friendly relations with foreign countries and fight against the aggression and war manoeuvres of the imperialists, realize global peace and independence and develop the international socialist movement.
